Anger Issue
Anger can come in many forms, it can be constructive but also destructive when it gets out of control. People with anger issues have usually not learnt how to deal or express their angers in a health way.
Counselling will seek to determine underlying causes of anger problems and resolve these. The therapy will explore the way you deal with anger and determine healthy ways to express your angry feelings.
Anxiety
Anxiety can cause nervousness, fear, and worry. Problems with anxiety can be mild, moderate or severe. Most people will experience some form of anxiety in the lives.
Depression
Depression is common and there are many types of depression and many reasons people feel depressed.
The first step in fighting depression is to understand what it is, how it affects you and what may be causing it.
PTSD
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that follows a stressful, frightening or traumatic event, expressed through a range of intense physiological symptoms. Currently I have not had the opportunity to explore the specialized training in this area therefore you will need to expand your search and find a counselor that specializes in this area of work to fully support you.
Trauma
Many types of experiences can be traumatic and events that are traumatic for one person may be less traumatic for another but nonetheless this does not take away from your own experiences of trauma.
Bereavement
Everyone experiences grief differently and there is no ‘right’ way to grieve. The death of a significant person can be a devastating loss. Bereavement is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy. Bereavement or grief counselling can provide help through the painful process of coping with loss. I can support you through the difficult process of grieving and help you come to terms with loss.
Confidence
There are many areas where your confidence can be affected, this can prevent or hold you back from achieving your goals in your life.
Self-esteem Issues
Self-esteem is the opinion you have about yourself and it develops from your past relationships and experiences. Long-term low self-esteem can harm your relationships, destroy your confidence and make you suffer from depression.
Stress
Stress is the body's reaction to feeling threatened or under pressure. It's very common and can be motivating to help us achieve things in our daily life, and can help us meet the demands of home, work and family life. Persistent stress is not good for the body and counselling can be used help to reduce stress.
Addiction
Addiction is a psychological and physical inability to stop consuming a chemical, drug, activity, or substance, even though it is causing psychological and physical harm.
Attachment Issues
Attachment issues typically result from an early separation from parents, incidents of trauma, instances of neglect, or an otherwise troubled childhood. These issues may have an affect on a child's ability to form healthy, secure attachments later in life
Abuse
Abuse can come in many forms, such as: physical or verbal maltreatment, injury, assault, violation, rape, or other types of aggression.
Dissociation
Many people may experience dissociation during their life. You may feel disconnected from yourself and others around you.
For many people, dissociation is a natural response to trauma that they can't control. It could be a response to a one-off traumatic event or ongoing trauma and abuse
